Substantiation of necessity of introduction of a rational system of crop rotation, its impact on the quality of agricultural products, the regulation mechanism of rotation at the state and local level and enforcement actions taken to farmers who do not provide the management and conservation of soil and other pressing issues of land management and land protection have been discussed by Ukrainian specialists and experts of the Federal Republic of Germany during the seminar and workshops.

Due to the state’s support of the horticulture industry, there is a tendency to an increase in acreage of Ukrainian orchards, Government Portal says. In particular, this year, agricultural producers have planted about 2 thousand hectares of new plantations, but generally it’s scheduled to lay 3.5 thousand hectares, which is 13% more than last year.

Ukrainian agrarians have produced for 9 months of 2012 year 2.74 million tons of sunflower oil, of which 2.6 million tons are exported. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine did not consider a decision on restricting grain exports and it is not planning to take such a decision, the press service of the Social Policy Ministry has reported, referring to Vice Premier and Social Policy Minister Sergiy Tigipko.

The Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine sees no grounds for a ban on wheat exports, First Deputy Minister Ivan Bisiuk has said.
