Verkhovna Rada cancelled formation of Land Bank

The Verkhovna Rada has cancelled a bill on establishment of the State Land Bank during the second reading. 297 MPs voted in favour of its cancellation, ForUm correspondent reported. The relevant draft resolution was introduced by deputies from the All-Ukrainian Union «Fatherland» Ivan Kyrylenko, Serhiy Sas and deputy chairman of the Parliament Mykola Tomenko. «During the consideration on June 21, there was a violation of the Constitution and the rules,» Serhiy Sas explained.

In particular, the regulation states that during the preparation of the second reading of the bill ¹10043, MPs proposed amendments on the submission of land issues by the Cabinet of Ministers to the authorized capital of the Land Bank, which contradict the provisions of articles 19 and 120 of the Constitution and article 116 of the Rules of Parliament.

On July 7, the Cabinet approved a procedure for the establishment of the Land Bank with registered capital of 120 million hryvnia. As a reminder, in April, the Parliament allocated 120 million hryvnia to create the Land Bank.
