British businessmen note improving the investment climate in Ukraine. This was stated by a member of the Parliament of Great Britain, Jack Straw during a working lunch with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov in London.

As Jack Straw stressed, the British businessmen were convinced that the investment climate in Ukraine has improved radically. According to him, this opinion is shared by the EBRD, and therefore it is considered the possibility of intensification of investment in the domestic agricultural sector.

In particular, at today’s meeting the issue of attracting investment in agriculture, in particular the cultivation of sugar beets, irrigated agriculture in southern Ukraine was disscused.

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stressed that about 10 million hectares due to various reasons withdrawn from agricultural use in Ukraine. He noted that this land can be returned to active use.
