Agriculture brought Ukraine more than metallurgy last year – Kolobov

In 2012, Ukraine earned from the export of farm produce more than from the export of metals.
This was stated by Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov during a meeting with representatives of the European Business Association, the press service of the finance ministry reported.

“In 2012, revenue from the export of agricultural products exceeded revenue from the metallurgy exports. The Cabinet’s plans to increase the agricultural sector growth rates at least twice and reach the grain exports volume of 100 million tons were unanimously approved by the business community,” Kolobov said.

In addition, the minister expressed his solidarity with bankers on the need to support the financial sector in strengthening the protection of assets and investments, promotion and increase of non-cash payments.

He expressed the willingness to review and approve the necessary changes to the legislation, proposed by businesses.
