Agricultural companies attract soft loans at UAH 11 billion

In 2012, over 2,600 agricultural enterprises attracted loans at UAH 13.5 billion, out of these, soft loans – at UAH 11 billion. Deputy Director of the Finance and Credit Department of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry Yuriy Miniailyk told a press conference at UKRINFORM about this.

“Thanks to introduction of the soft credit program and the annual state support, over UAH 127 billion of credit resources were raised to the agricultural sector of the economy over 13 years,” Miniailyk noted.

According to him, the interest rate was 20-24% in 2012, out of these, the state compensated up to 15.5%. And actually, agricultural companies were credited at 5-7% annual, Miniailyk stressed.

But the need in such credits is satisfied approximately by 30%, which is explained by limited possibilities of the budget. “For improvement of the situation, it is necessary to find investments at UAH 1.5 billion,” the official stressed.
